If You're Not Happy with a Work - Change It!

I'm a fairly regimented person. My regular job dictates that I should be and I've had a lot of training about how to be so. I discovered recently that, when it comes to artistic endeavors, that approach doesn't always work. The more that you discover, as anyone who creates anything, the more you learn that being too regimented can cause missed opportunities. I had been stuck in the mode of - once the photo goes through the workflow process it's done. I happened to want to know more about the history of these tracks that I've crossed daily for many years. (I've previously mentioned my train obsession.) The research led to more visits to the tracks and the visits led to additional envisioning and I realized that I was in the process of historical dreaming. What that means is that I discovered the real beauty of the valley is not only the natural beauty but also that place between reality and dream where you're sure the spirits talk and so I re-did a work that I had called Soon and re-named it Short Line Dream and I'm pretty happy with that.
