Long Walk

The beauty of the valley leads you to wander. Soon the afternoon shadows give way to patches of darkness. The trees seem to come closer to your path. The skittering in the woods tells you the nights activities will begin soon and as you walk the valley envelopes you with all of its mysteries and all of its ghosts.

I read the diaries of the Moravian missionaries quite awhile ago which was probably the most interesting thing that I've ever read about the valley. I've lived here all of my life and I can attest that, when night begins to fall, the valley surrounds you. Mists appear, night noises seem to walk right along beside you and as darkness closes in, a light in the distance is a very welcome thing.
