A Walk and Talk

I was talking with my husband the other day on yet another walk to the river about how much I love photography but how frustrated I can get with my subject matter. I'm happiest taking landscape photos. I love capturing large and expansive spaces full of detail but they're not always so satisfying once I get them out of the camera. When he asked me why I didn't like them I complained that there was no great central subject, no huge mountain or grand waterfall. So then he asked me why I bother to take pictures and I replied that I love the complexity, the clutter, the textures, the light, the sky and the mood of the Cuyahoga Valley. I like non-pristine scenery. He told me to stop complaining.
