Night Visit

Owl is perched in the tree just before the woods in my backyard. I'm beginning to think owl is a more frequent visitor than I thought. I'm wondering if this is why the hawk that is a regular hasn't been seen in about two weeks. I don't know if owls and hawks get along or not. Now when I hear the blue jays signaling danger I'm not sure who it is. Surprisingly owl doesn't seem to be too interested in the bird feeders and that could be because they are close to the house or maybe owl doesn't want to tangle with the pileated woodpeckers who visit daily. However, owl was very attentive when the morning doves showed up but then went back to the woods.
