Contrasts and Light

I dry as many different things from my garden as possible. Sometimes I pick items in the fall and sometimes I leave them to nature until just a pod is left. I love drying different grasses and I love sunflowers. I had let this one age on its stalk for quite awhile and the day that I photographed it there was just a lovely bright sun which not only highlighted the plant but made for what I think is a great contrast.
